Following on the heels of the great success of her first book Square-agonals®, an easy, creative way to sew diagonal settings without cutting the side or corner triangles nor using any math calculations, Sandi brings you her second book Square-agonals® 12 Easy Pieces.
This new book provides a unique, new block of the month project for the individual quilter, for the shop or for any group looking to try something new. The twelve main blocks and the quilt center in the featured Tropical Jewels Quilt are created using her marvelous Square-agonals® technique. Three alternative setting ideas for the 12 block quilt are provided, as well as two smaller projects. Quilt shops can build a year-long class around the featured 12-block quilt or plan a one-day class featuring the table topper or runner. The book features complete step-by-step instructions and detailed diagrams along with clear concise how-to so anyone can easily make the projects.

As quilters, we take fabric, cut it all up and sew it back together. Now we can take that one step farther and after sewing it back together, cut it up again and sew it back together again!
With the Baker’s dozen of projects, you will create wonderful quilts, table runners or whatever your heart’s desire is. The first section describes how the cutting of the sewn block is done. The graphics make it easy to see just how this works. This section, along with a section of tips, a list of basic needs and the three arrow templates, give you everything you need to create these wonderful Square-agonals.
It looks like so much fun but definitely not for the timid as who wants to cut up a perfectly good block! But, go ahead and do it. You will get a wonderful new block and beautiful new projects. I can’t wait to do it!
