Quilting Now Newsletter Reviewer: Meg Cox January, 2010

MY FAVORITE QUILT BOOK RIGHT NOW! I'm so high on the new book Fabric Embellishing The Basics & Beyond because it covers more than 50 techniques with simple exercises and small projects.

Reviewer: Barbara Rhoades February, 2010

When I first looked at the book, I thought there wouldn’t be much that I would use as a great part of it pertains to other mediums than I use. After more in-depth reading, I found several ideas that will ‘translate’ to my favorite medium, quilting! Reviewer: Linda Heines August, 2010

I love, love, love that this book is spiral-bound. I’ve always loved spiral-bound books because of being left handed. They just seem easier to look at and especially to work from. I also love that it’s easy to read, the pictures are beautiful, and the directions are easy to follow. They also are techniques that I WANT to try.

Textile Traveler— Reviewer: Michele December, 2009

…it’s safe to say that I’ve been around the block a time or two when it comes to embellishing fabric. So I was surprised to find some techniques in this book I had never even heard of. Even those techniques and materials I’m familiar with are used in ways I hadn’t thought about.

Midwest Book Review, California Bookwatch February, 2010

…a large photo of an embellished ‘workbook’ page… invites readers to try the technique, then add personal style. Small Quilts Magazine Summer, 2010 This title goes beyond the obvious and explores new ideas and products you may not be familiar with. If you are interested in embellishing, dabbling in art quilting or just want to add pizzazz to your traditional quilts, this is a title to own.

Quilter’s World Magazine August, 2010

If you’re just starting to experiment with embellishment, or if you’ve ever been ‘embellishment curious,’ this is the book for you. For more advanced fiber artists, the book serves as a great embellishment encyclopedia and will soon be your ‘go-to’ book when you’re looking for a bit of inspiration. ASG Notions Magazine Spring, 2010 Four talented fiber artists join forces to present over 50 of their favorite embellishing techniques with complete step-by-step photography.
