Animal Rescue League of Iowa
Founded in 1926, The Animal Rescue League of Iowa (ARL) is Iowa’s largest non-profit animal shelter. ARL-Iowa serves animals in need across the state. The mission of ARL-Iowa is to promote animal welfare, to encourage and strengthen the human/animal bond, and to prevent the overpopulation of pets.
Last year, the ARL took in more than 20,000 animals from more than 60 Iowa counties and 9 states. No animal is ever refused.
The Animal Rescue League of Iowa has received the “exceptional” 4-Star rating from Charity Navigator, America’s premier evaluator of leading charities.
