Do you like to applique but hate the “turn under” process? Then you need this book.
With wool, there is no need to turn under the edges. It won’t ravel. The book begins with an eight-page review of using wool and the applique process. That is followed by a Baker’s dozen of ideas for using what you just learned.
Coasters, banners, candle mats, table runners, wall hangings, pillows and even a lap quilt can be found in the patterns the author shares. Any templates needed are included at full size.
The pattern instructions begin with a color photo of the item. Then comes the names of the project, what it is and the finished size. A small paragraph about it is next. The written instructions include a materials list, where to find the applique patterns any additional materials needed and cutting instructions.
The “how-to” of the pattern contains graphics for us visual folks and to help make sure you are reading the pattern correctly. The last page contains a two paragraph bio of the author.
If you want to learn about wool applique, this would be a good book to help you through that process.
